Residential Inpatient Drug and Alcohol Addiction Treatment Center in Hawaii
The Narconon Hawaii program is a Biophysical/Social Education Model program that offers long-term, residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation. The program generally takes 3-5 months to complete, but can, in some instances, take up to a year to complete depending on the circumstances of the individual case.
This program is closely supervised by full time staff members who live in-house and are available 24 hours a day.

Where you will be staying while you do the program
A medical detox is available for those that require it, to ensure a smooth transition during their withdrawal. After that, the program is completely drug-free and provides a holistic approach to replenishing the vitamin deficiencies associated with prolonged drug abuse.
One of the most important parts of the program is the sauna purification, created to rid the body of all drug residuals and any future cravings.
The drugs and toxins from long term alcohol and drug abuse store in the fatty tissue, organs and cells of the human body. It is very hard for any long term recovery to be successful without the drug toxins being removed from the body.

Exercise room and sauna to get rid of the drug residues in your body.
Even if the addict is trying to withstand temptation, living ‘one day at a time’, sooner or later the drug or alcohol toxins become dislodged from fatty cell tissue and spread into the blood stream. Once in the bloodstream, the drug toxins travel to the brain and cause cravings, withdrawal symptoms, anxiety or even depression. The individual will continually feel haunted by cravings and not understand his failed attempts at sobriety.
The Body Purification uses a unique approach to overcoming this obstacle, by flushing out built-up drug and alcohol residue, radiation, manganese (a carcinogen), and many other harmful toxins stored within the body’s cells. The sauna gives one a clean, healthy body. From this point, the person can begin working toward a healthy overall recovery based on a solid physical foundation. They are now ready to learn the technology necessary to help them regain control of their lives as well as the ability to confront and address all the problems which led them to abusing drugs and alcohol.
There are a series of courses that are delivered in sequence to aid the students in the steps necessary to achieve this goal. The program is specifically designed to help the former addict develop the coping skills and the life management skills needed in order to maintain their sobriety. The program focuses on honesty, responsibility and accountability for one’s own actions and conditions in life. The rigid structure of the program instills personal ethics and morals which create productive individuals with a tremendous amount of integrity guiding their decisions and actions.
The program emphasizes life rehabilitation, body cleansing using sauna treatments, vitamins, minerals and exercise, individual life skills classes and sessions.
We are one of the few centers that are NOT based on ANY group meetings.
The program is fully contained. In other words, they do not have the student s going to local area meetings where they are exposed to an uncontrolled population. Also, this is a secular (non-religious) program and although the counselors will escort the students to religious services of their denomination on Sunday, religious practice is not required or part of the program on Sunday if needed but religious practice is not required or part of the program.
The program is delivered with kindness and dignity. We are also big on exercise and replacement activities. This program feels strongly that unless you teach a person how to have fun and be social without drugs, they will return to the drug culture upon exit. Therefore, they provide daily activities which, depending on the facility chosen, may include: weights and workout room, football, hiking, horseshoes, bike riding, surfing, swimming, volleyball, softball, basketball and weekly trips to town.
EXPLANATION OF SERVICES
DETOX — 24-Hour Care- A trained Detoxification Specialist is with the student 24 hours per day to assist with physical type actions to help with withdrawal. The Detoxification Specialist is also trained to help with the difficult emotional period of Detox which usually lasts 3-10 days. Prior to this they do provide a medical Detox first when necessary to help the individual from suffering any unnecessary discomfort. After that, the remaining Detox process uses holistic and homeopathic remedies where no drugs are used. Here they focus on the basic physical rudimentary needs, such as diet, nutrition, sleep and overall general health. There are specific holistic and homeopathic methods to minimize withdrawal symptoms to aid in optimum recovery in their early phases of the program.
After the person has recovered from the withdrawal of drugs and is ready to start the program they will receive testing of I/Q and views on life, themselves and others. This is done to determine the rate of progression through the program so maximum results can be obtained.
